Zines

Inspired by the exhibition at the De Le Warr Pavilion, ‘Still I Rise: Feminisms, Gender, Resistance’, the group explored creative responses to discrimination experienced by individuals and communities based on their gender, sexuality or race.

Zines are a popular way to share ideas and spread knowledge – usually the product of a single person or small group and are often used by activists and campaigners. These were created with the help of artist Linda Stupart.

By clicking on the images below you can view the completed Zines as they are designed to be read or see the templates that are created prior to cutting, folding and “publishing”.

You can view a tutorial on how to create your own Zine on the Hastings Museum & Art Gallery Facebook page here.
